Gypsum

Gypsum is a very soft stone that can be scratched with your fingernail. There are three varieties that have been used for carvings, jewelry and magical purposes since ancient times. Alabaster is fine grained and translucent, Satin Spar is fibrous with a pearly luster and Selenite is transparent, colorless and crystalline.

Gypsum is used in magic to increase your flexibility and make you more adaptable to circumstances and more prepared to take advantage of unexpected opportunities. It can also be used to lessen the fear of change, learn to 'go with the flow' and cope with the problems and surprises life tends to throw in your path.
